LONG BEACH REC CROWNS CHAMPS
The Long Beach Recreation Men’s
Softball League season came to an end
when Bogart’s/Ryan & Walis played
Minnesota’s II, the National League
champs.
In the first game, Minnesota II jumped
out to an early 5-0 lead by the fourth
inning as Bogart’s/Ryan & Walis
seemed to have trouble scoring runs.
Minesota’s scored four more runs
enroute to a 9-3 victory.
The second game was much closer as
Bogart’s played some great defense and
hit much better. But in the end
Minnesota’s II proved to be too strong as
they won the second game 13-10 to be
crowned this year’s city champions. The Long Beach
Recreation Department would like to congratulate both teams for
outstanding seasons, especially Most Valuable Player Alfredo Morales of
Minnesota’s II. Morales turned in an outstanding season.
